The Ministry applies those standards and disciplines as needed.. sorry if you don't like it they are trying to keep people saved. Remember Obey them that have the rule over you.

I simply mean form the perspecyive that the older women in my church dress it to a T and I have never once heard any of them complain about how it's such a burden or hardship to dress modfestly and seperate from the world. They don't fuss and fight over Deut. 22:5. Apparently they just accept that asking for a woman to dress different from the worldy women and allow modesty to shine is not a big deal.

That is what this generation of girls and young women could use a healthy dose of. Maybe then they would stop thinkign of everything as a weight and burden.

Re: Moms For Modesty.

My fiance hopes we have a daughter so that she can teach her the beauty of modesty, meekness and being seperate from the world...in dress and attitude. To teach her that you are not required to conform the the worlds perverse idea of beauty. That she is too precious and valuable to run around immodestly flaunting herself just because a pervert world says that is what a woman should do.

I am scared to death of having a daughter when we decide to have kids, but I share her feeling that it would be nice to have a daughter to raise knowing that being seperate and different is somethign to be proud of, not a burden to feel shackled to.

That part is as important as dress!

You could just make things easy on the both of you and NOT have any kids.

...then 'dress' would not even be an issue!

Now RandyWayne,
I remember some discussions we had on GNC concerning having
children.
I can tell you that our children and grandchildren are precious gifts
from GOD. They have SO enriched our lives and now that we have
turned 70 (last Friday) and hubby 71, our children show us much kindness
and make sure that Dad and Mom are okay and just show us so much love
and joy. They honor us all year long. Double honor on special days such as
our 50th wedding anniv. and our birthdays, Mother and Fathers Day,etc.
We would not want to be without them. They are not and never have been
burdens, but great blessings.
You may not think about it so much now, but bye and bye, when you and
your spouse get old and lonely, you will no doubt remember Falla39's words.
You know I like you and would not offend you for anything, but I know what
I am speaking of.

Falla39

Randy Wayne, my friend , that is totally against the Word of God. Children are a heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb His reward. Artificial birth control is not of God and has no precedent in Scripture.
