I know that it's a problem to get good fresh fish in some places. West Coast doesn't happen to be one of them.

Same here...unless I am in a fancy restaraut and it's orange roughy with Imperial shrimp and there is a roaring fire going lol

That's why I settled for the glorified fish stick instead

It is with salmon. I never see salmon that isn't farm raised salmon. Sometimes too I see farm raised trout but usually it's not....

Almost all salmon in the stores and even at the restaraut is farm raised :-(

Yeah, I had a similar problem the other day. The waiter told me the swordfish was the night's special. I asked how much, and he said 23 dollars. I said, "In that case, I'll have the shrimp." I paid 9 bucks for about 8 beer-battered, jumbo coconut shrimp. Ugh!

I've eaten farm raised salmon. I don't worry much about it to be honest. Most of the food we eat has been pumped full of something or other. You can get wild salmon here and on the east coast too. You pay a little more for it. I'm just not so sure that wild salmon is all that chemical free or that much better for a person.

What is swordfish like? I've never eaten it.

It's fish with little swords in the meat...

Like Phil Jones says, it's like swallowing broken glass.

I don't even think swordfish was on the menu.....maybe I just didn't look since I wanted Halibut...the other cheaper choices did not sound that great, though I almost went with the trout, but I don't trust trout to not have any bones in it :-)

dats one bony fish...nuttin like some BDWs we see nowadays
