He will just deny having made that statement as he has denied making the statement advocating the single payer system. Of course too, the media will be willing accomplises and not run the videos of him making the statement and claim it was taken out of context and we need to focus not on the distractioins or diversions of the manipulated opposition and "moveon" to the greater cause and intent of bigger and better government. I wonder if G.W. Bush had made a similar boo boo, what would the media say about it?

Do you have a source for that? Esther said that as well, but could not tell us from where.

Key point being "problems with" anything run by the gov't.
Obama is not very perky on business matters. The USPS uses both UPS and Fedex extensively.

Re: BHO slips up during televised town-hall meetin

President Obama assailed “wild misrepresentations” by his opponents at the Portsmouth town hall today.

Quote:
But he wildly misrepresented his position on single payer.
And he wildly misrepresented the AARP’s position on Obamacare:

Quote:
…the President may have overstated support for his plan in one instance. When asked about the potential impact of the reform plan on Medicare, the President said, “The AARP would not be endorsing a bill if it was undermining Medicare.” Problem is - the AARP has not yet endorsed the plan. The New Hampshire head of the AARP chapter here told ABC’s Lisa Chinn today that the AARP hasn’t yet made up its mind as an organization whether to endorse the bill.
President Obama, meet the AARP rank-and-file:

Looks like Obama is having "senior" moments.

Michelle malkin writes of this..Obama is the reason her book soars.

Figures. Julia Hall from Malden MA, the little girl who asked Obama a question today at his town hall meeting, was a plant.

Julia Hall's mother, Kathleen-Manning-Hall, is Big Obama supporter and donor.
Check out the woman sitting next to Julia today:
http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/20...ked-obama.html

The second person "randomly" selected to ask a question was a young girl called Julia Hall from Malden MA (asks question at 29m:25s).

Julia read the following question off a piece of paper: "As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us".

This randomly asked question gave Obama the perfect opportunity to dismiss talk about "death panels that will pull the plug on Grandma" and to blame Republicans for everything.

Over on the town hall comments thread AtomicPunk09 discovered someone on facebook who might possibly be Julia's mother and had a photo of her with Obama.

Another "coincidence" is that Julia said she lives in Malden MA and Kathleen Manning Hall's campaign contributions list the occupation "Legal Asst, Looney and Grossman LLP" and a home address in Malden MA, via the Huffington Post donation's page.

Looks like she donated $636 to Obama in 2008.

But wait, there's more at City Data.

This lists donations to Obama of $230 on 6/15/07, $250 on 9/28/07, $500 on 9/30/07, $300 on 3/2/08.

There's more at AR15.

Who said "I am the way the truth and the light"?

Hint. not Obama.

I heard him say both those statements on the radio.(one I saw in a video clip) One was an interview he was giving when he was a state senator in which his stated goal was a single payer system that "may take a decade, or 15 years or even 20 to accomplish this" (or something very very similar to that.) and now of course lately there are many quotes of him denying that is is his goal.
I am sure I could find the video feed (as I did see that portion of the interview), but it is not hard to find if one were to google it.
Let me ask you, If I did the leg work for you and show you the two contrasting statemnts from Obama, would it change anything about your opinion in this matter?

Definitely. If you showed proof that he said he never supported a single payer system, I will believe he lied about it, since there would be proof of it.

Obama: "I Am Not In Favor Of Single-Payer Health Care In U.S."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRPmcjShtZw

I did not hear him say that on this clip. I don't know if it has been edited out or not because here a blogger makes this statement.

In 2003, Barack Hussein Obama said - "I am a proponent of a single payer system"

Now he says he's NOT???

Another blogger said this:

Obama is a liar.

Of course he's going to say he's against it. No way will he get a government run health care system to fly... at least not right off the bat. He knows this ... so he and his cohorts have to lie to the American people to sneak this past those that are opposed to a single payer system!

I can't believe how gullible some people are. Don't believe a word that this typical Liberal politician says. He lies daily!

This IS a Hitler-esque power grab!

This is where he says he never said he was for single payer health care.

That was from yesterday's town hall meeting. Thank you for posting it.

Look at the entire question and answer on the transcript. The question already established that he was a supporter of a single payer system. His answer was that he is not promoting a single payer system.

If you look at it in the context of the entire answer, he is saying that he is not a single payer supporter in terms of this plan because it would be too disruptive. The entire paragraph is:

"I have not said that I was a single-payer supporter because, frankly, we historically have had a employer-based system in this country with private insurers, and for us to transition to a system like that I believe would be too disruptive. So what would end up happening would be, a lot of people who currently have employer-based health care would suddenly find themselves dropped, and they would have to go into an entirely new system that had not been fully set up yet. And I would be concerned about the potential destructiveness of that kind of transition. All right? So I'm not promoting a single-payer plan."

Here is the transcript of the town hall meeting from yesterday:
