Amen, Timmy. Come on you guys, leave him alone. Go on YouTube and watch Al Sharpton's speech at the funeral.

Listen to the to the song "Stranger in Moscow" that MJ wrote and hear the cry of a broken heart, a broken spirit, of a man with zero self-esteem.

Admire and respect his talent, mourn his passing, grieve for his children, and leave it at that.

Re: Michael Jackson's Face...

I for one admired his artistic genius, for what it was worth, in the ways of the world which i once reveled in., but as a human, I really felt for him, his childhood rearage was just tragic, its hard to believe that that evil man, whom fathered him is still alive and well., I know lots about childhood abuse., back in those days evidently there weren't enough firm laws to protect childrens rights, and avoid such long hard hours of constant work rehearsing at their fathers insistance & brutal punishment., to make himself filthy rich.

Oh as for his skin, well...I had heard compelling info from someone (a friends friend) with a similar skin condition (allegedly) yet very recently also read a list of medications that Michael was taking and one of them was a "skin-bleaching" med!!
That did it for me., it was VANITY. but well, okay its an individual right to be so, if one wants to be., notwithstanding what GOD thinks., they were after all, Jehovahs witnesses., for whatever that was worth. I still think that Michael deserved much better than he got early on., which impaired his whole life ahead., blame the dad, if anyone.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Beefstew,

You have hit the nail on the head. I think the problem was that Michael did not let anyone help him. You don't see it written much but I have read several reputable reports that he would fire any employees that questioned any of his actions, requests, etc. That is born out by the tremendous turnover he had in almost every employee position.

I also read that in 2007 Janet Jackson arranged an intervention but when the family showed up at his gate he ordered his security not to let them in.

Those conditions make it very hard to help someone with the wealth and resources he had because that wealth buys you whatever you want. There will always be those looking for $$$ or a connection to a famous person who will provide whatever thing or service is desired.

The doctors and plastic surgeons who willingly did his bidding and destroyed his face and health in the process should be ashamed and disciplined. That kind of poor judgement should be just cause for removal of their medical license forever.

I think he had to have had some mental issues to want his nose to be thinner and thinner until he just looked like a freak.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Like Stewie said, our choices have consequences - often for those around us as well.

I can see all of the "Wacko Jacko" comments; but my heart really goes out to his kids.
