Are the emotions felt "love"? Or are those emotions something else entirely? For instance; like and admiration?

I believe that love encompasses many emotions - anger, impatience, frustration, joy, etc.

I Corinthians Chapter 13 tells us what love is...I think there should be no question. Yes, it can be a feeling, yes it is a commitment...

I think that the "love the Lord your God with all your heart" is talking about making Him #1. That He comes ahead of everything else. It's not so much about emotion as it is about commitment and priority.

You know that you're doing that when you obey His will and His Word.

Love is a fact based upon emotion. When one loves another individual it affects their emotions, their thinking, their actions, their perceptions, and their future.

That being said, to love the Lord with all of your heart, IMO, means to be stronger in feeling, thought, action, intent and percpetion than you are towards anyone else in existence.

So it's basically putting Jesus first, above all but not necessarily a specific effort or action?
