Re: Air Condition system

I'm happy with the units in our 2-year-old house. I don't remember the name, though, and to find out would mean walking all the way downstairs and outside. Maybe tomorrow.

Most home A/C units in Vancouver are two fans & a open window!
Surprisingly A/C units are affordable.

Unless one is elderly or has health issues, most people don't have A/C for home.

Nice! (Supposed to hit a hundred the next couple days, here. Maybe I won't go outside and look at my A/C units after all! )

Hottest I ever saw it was 116 at Oregon Camp Grounds in 1988!
It wasn't A/C in the sanctuary either!

Re: Air Condition system

I just replaced my over 30 yr old central air. We went with Bryant which is owned by Carrier I believe.

15 seer with 10 yr waranty was .....6200 bucks OUCH

We have hot water basboard heat so our Ac has to use an air exchanger instead of going the the furnace. Our air exchanger had to be taken apart and reassembled in the attic becaise our low roof line would not allow the unit to be taken into the attic whole. Also our unit sets on the flat roof of our garage...so extra bucks for extra labor:

I've only ran it once so far but have found it to be extremely quiet.

Re: Air Condition system

We have "feel" like temps in the 100's with actual temps in the 90's for over 8 hours!
