The rainbow was a sign of the covenant with Noah- it is NOT a sign for the passed away neighbor, grandmother or household pet. The rainbow next door was due to rain and the atmosphere, not some "gateway to heaven."

S5ST, When you lose someone close to you you will be desparate for comfort - anything, that may bring sense to your loss. This is NORMAL.

It may not have been a gateway to Heaven, but I am sure it was a beautiful site for their weeping eyes.
God allowed the rainbow to appear at that exact location at that exact moment.
Could it be that God allowed this because he knew it would comfort the hearts of the grieving that afternoon?
Maybe it even could have been a good backdrop for you to minister to the grieving that afternoon or maybe even sometime in the future.

No, these people have had the Truth preached to them many times, and they have rejected it every time. Perhaps GOD sent them a "strong delusion."

It would not bother me. However why should anyone consider that a sign other than the original one God intended...that He will never flood the earth again?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Interesting point, but do you really believe that the Mormon doctrine has influenced Christianity?

Amen! While in the whole scheme of life it may have brought comfort to them, but you are right. It is not biblically correct and there is danger in adopting unbiblical things into our lives.
