I knew Covey was Mormon, that's why we spit out the bones.

Re: Ferd apologizes for having liked Rick Warren

there is a bit of a difference here. There is no down side to being dissappointed when a religious leader sells out.

when a political leader from our side sells out and we disavow the party over it, we end up with a person who beleives in exactly the opposite of what we believe on every issue.

I was very dissappointed in GWB over the bailout stuff. i was not happy with either McCain or GW over their view of the immagration issue.

but at the end of the day, both of them are far better than the thing we ended up with. thats the problem.

but really, this thread is about me being sorry for using Rick Warren material. I taught Purpose in sunday school.

Now we see he doesnt really beleive in the Purpose. He got me. dude wrote a good book but I put $$ in the pocket of a huckster.

I am sorry for that.

Truth is Truth even if the one that might promote some truth goes off on a tangent against the truth. The truth remains true, therefore the use of Truth is not tainted by someone who's is untruthful. In other words, Purpose Drive Life has good nuggets of Truth and even if Warren does not believe the truth that is not a mark against the value of Truths he once espoused.

I like this version better.
