RCL is great. The only better I have been on is Celebrity and they are owned by RCL and just a tiny step up the "classy" ladder. Either one are great.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Sounds a lot like that move from the 80's, The Ratings Game starring Danny DeVito and Rea Pearlman. The Needed to get rid of a 100 "Nielsen" families and converted an old garbage barge into a luxury cruise ship for these families that won a "20 fun filled week all inclusive cruise!".

Travel in steerage and hang out at the buffet during the travel days. It's pretty affordable that way. You can pretend that you're a rock star or one of those fat cat chimney sweeps and nobody else even knows that your cabin is really a closet down by the ship's laundry.
And for the "excursions" - you can arrange your own. There's a Jesus' name Pentecostal that runs a van touring service in Rio Ochos, Jamaica, a popular crusie stop over. He'll take you anywhere on the island and show you the little known places. The restaurant at the old sugar mill is excellent there.
Hey! I sound like an old salt.

Re: 4 night Carribean Cruise...
I'd forgo the inside room unless you just feel really lucky and get an upgrade.
It's well worth it to have the window in the room and balcony is even better!
If you make up your mind before your leave that you not "buy into" any of the extras you can have an extremely nice vacation for a good price. There are things you can do when you get off at the islands and not go through the boats "excursions" that are cheaper and of course many times you can just enjoy the beach for free!

I decided that I could do all of that once. I coaxed my oldest son up on a neighbor's roof with a rope and a couple of sand bags tied to an old broom head. The courts are still trying to sort out the consequences. Our "customer" ended up looking like Uncle Fester after the light bulb blew. They still haven't found their cat.

LOL! I work for wealthy folks - my home is not in a prestigious neighborhood at all.
You should learn from existing chimney sweep folklore... It is reputed that they used to tie a rope around the neck of a goose and pull it through a chimney. The blacker the goose - the cleaner the chimney.

Re: 4 night Carribean Cruise...
Thanks for the info....
This summer is our 40th Anniv and I'm considering a cruise. Have never been on one and most of my coworkers say everyone should go at least once.
So....cost is one consideration. Also departure point. We have a daughter in Orlando and she'll take us to those that leave from Port Canaveral.
Any absolutes....things to avoid, or things we should expect from the cruise.

I love the shows! I mostly love the solitude though since the cruises we take are typically transatlantic ones with no ports of call, just a week or more of ocean!!!!
