We had a new family come into service today. They have a son who is obviously Down's Syndrome. He was carrying a vase full of silk roses, so I commented that they sure were pretty flowers. the mom just kind of smirked as she said to me, "We should have let him get attached to a blankie. It would have been alot easier to drag around with him."
That was my chuckle for the day. Too cute!

Oh I forgot, we also baptized a deaf teenage boy this morning. He and his family came for months before I knew he was deaf because he's such a good lip reader. What a sweet teen!
Who is he Sherri? Do they come to first service or second? Have I met them?
818 is amazing!! I knew first service was pretty full. Paul said that The Edge was pretty full this morning. How was the second service in the sanctuary?

Actually not as bad as I thought it would be; several switched to the early service at Eddies request. We had about 125 more in the first service than nonrmal. Yes, 818 is amazing for only being in town for 5-1/2 years, huh? God is good!
The boy is Aaron Burnett. They live in Lexington. He has red hair and usually sits on the front or second row (in the other middle section from where you are).
That surprises me; they are normally such good planners. Maybe The Elder is still in Honeymoon Phase. LOL! We had three services, but we do that every Sunday now. However, today they were all full and running over. Good feeling!
Sherri, I have a dumb question? Do you attend all three services?

I attend the 9 AM and the 11 AM in the live sanctuary. The other one is a 11 AM in a video venue called the Edge, which is in another part of our building. It has it's own "edgy" Praise & Worship, is more casual, and has it's own pastor back there. The only thing on the big screen is Eddie preaching, which is actually the taped sermon from the 9 AM service earlier. I can't be at both 11 AM services obiously, but I would if I could!
The strange thing is, even though he preaches the same thing in both services I'm in, it is NEVER the same at all, other than the main points. He only has a few points on a piece of paper that he uses as notes and he just "wings" it from there. It's all totally ad lib and up to the anointing of God! It amazes me really; I have to have tons of notes to do a five minute little thing.
