See, with Boy George there were not the "Watch the Lamb" and "Thank you for giving to the Lord" and "Pledge allegiance to the Lamb" songs beforehand. It seems worse somehow. It isn't, but to have those previous songs and then this...

Interesting that the attitude toward "gay" marriage today is compared to the attitude toward "interracial" marriage a few years ago. Just a couple of weeks ago someone told me that there will be a future time when we look back at our attitude against "gay" marriage just like we now look back at our attitude against interracial marriage. I agreed with him but told him that I still believe "gay" marriage is wrong in the sight of God. I'm sure that it is just a matter of time before it will be legal and generally accepted by society and those who do not perform "gay" marriage or who speak against it will be prosecuted by law.

I believe this will be the case.

Are you saying that we will have laws against opinions?
Any nation that has given into and allowed homosexuality to be the norm ended up in ruin. Brother Ellis, when the time comes for a homosexual president (that time may be on the horizon) you will see our society crumble.

What I was trying to say is that, in my opinion, "gay" marriage will work its way through the court system and the US Supreme Court will declare that we cannot discriminate against anyone based on gender and therefore a person's gender cannot be a factor in marriage. In other words, we cannot deny a legal marriage to two men; to two women; or to one man and one woman because that will be discrimination and denial of equal access under law.
It is also my opinion that in the future it will be considered "hate speech" and a crime to publicly quote certain passages of Scripture.
Maybe I'm ignorant and/or paranoid but this is my opinion.
I did not mean to imply that I thought "gay" marriage or the practice of the gay life style was OK in the sight of God. In my opinion and in my understanding of the Bible it is not.

after posting this, I checked some email and found this by Bro. Irvin Baxter in his Endtime Ministries newsletter which came today:
President Obama had not even finished his inaugural address today before his agenda was posted on the White House website. He promised to "overturn" the Supreme Court's precedents on discrimination claims and to demand new laws requiring employers to provide special protections for homosexuals. Second on the list of priorities was Obama's demand for federal "hate crimes" laws. Opponents fear these laws could be used to make basic Christian beliefs subject to federal penalties and prohibitions.

Brother Ellis, I didn't say that you implied that God thought or will think it's ok.
First of all I wouldn't be able to marry a man with a man no matter if a law was passed in Florida.
I cannot marry a male to a male because it's against my religious beliefs. As much as a Jehovah Wetness refusing a blood transfusion, or a Muslim woman being able to have a driving license picture with her veil on (as ridiculous as that sounds). Now, when they enact a law concerning one group, they cannot overtake the rights of another group. I have discussed this with some of the individuals who are pro-same sex marriage down here in my county. If and when they do this, they cannot remove my rights to practice my freedom of religion.
