How different ones use an amplifying sound system to influence little ones in God from within a group setting is an important discussion. The setting is jam-packed with opportunities for one man to influence those who are often weak and impressionable.

One specific name will likely just derail the discussion to a dog-pile with nothing good coming from it.

Oh, by the way PP,
this is only my opinion...

In general I agree. BUT..... While I don’t necessarily want to mention names, I do think the guy who said this needs to have is card pulled! This isn’t a conservative/liberal issue. It is a stupid issue.

I do not have any kindness for someone who would lead a child down the primrose path. It is vile and should be dealt with in a disciplinary manner.

Bible School has its place for those seeking full time ministry. But to suggest that a GED was a good thing?

I am telling you right now, if I had been there and had a 16 year old kid, I would have met mister preacher when he came off the platform and come real close to laying hands on the fellow. And I would have demanded he apologize for the comment.

This is outrageous!

Upsetting that a man of God would think it is okay to tell kids its okay to just have a GED....that they should attend bible college over secular education.

My cousin is at a youth convention right now. She is a senior in high school and a few bricks shy of a load. She is risking not graduating because she wanted to go to this convention. Now lets say this preacher and her at the same conference.... I will bet she comes home and wants to get her GED. Ridiculous! This girl will take anything someone says over a pulpit as gospel.

Again, the parallels of what happenned in California are huge.

You state you would not send your youth group to this meeting. This was lambasted as a bad thing when it happenned in California.

My husband and I take our youth to conventions every year. But if I was at THIS convention I probably would have left and went back to our hotel.

How about talking to whoever is in charge about this issue and getting it resolved. It's one thing to complain, it's another to try and rectify the situation.

I was a little bit more than upset.

Oh, we've also had a preacher call Anna Nicole a whore from the pulpit.

I'm so thankful for the in depth teaching they have been receiving.
It's not the first time we've heard this king of preaching or emphasis at a youth convention or even at campmeeting and conferences.

Has there not been any orther speakers or messages or points made during the whole series of meetings to counter-balance the emphasis you mention here? If not, maybe there will be yet.
