The minister of GOD said:
"God has spoken to me about you. He said that you have been dwelling on your past. You need to make things right TODAY! God said that if you keep dwelling on your past, you are going to return to the perversion that you came out of..."
He said some more things briefly, which of I can not remember. The last thing he said to me was "REPENT OR PERISH!"

The minister of God was right. I had been dwelling on my past. God would move and I was numb and dry. Even Esau sought repentance with tears. I envy the guy. I couldn't cry tears. Not one drop. Strange. I would dry-cry. I could feel some of the emotions that one feels when they weep and have dry eyes. I had been in this condition for several weeks. Anyway, after the rebuke I hid my face in a chair and squeazed out a few drops.

As of late, I thought I was making progress. I admit, I am not who I was when I shared my issues with the forum. But, it "feels" like as soon as I am making strides, I come up against a wall. I can see the wall. The wall that is in front of me at this moment... I feel it. I sense it. I see it. It's not a small wall. If I could describe what I See in front of me:
The wall is tall. It is made of earth colored bricks. It is very solid. When I press my hand against it, it is very solid. It is fortified, like a fortress.

I don't know if I can make it through this one. Certainly not through my own ability and strength.

Just pray for me. Berkeley or Bryan... whatever you refer to me as. God knows...
Bryan, quit sidestepping what you know is right. You said here that the preacher was right, REPENT OR PERISH! If that was of God, of which you feel it was, then you are in the wrong, not God. God will never ask us to do something that is impossible for us to do. Go back to the beginning of this post and acknowledge what was said. REPENT! We cannot lie to the man in the mirror! If that was of God, then He will tell you what to repent of! He will not leave you wondering!

The other option is whether that was of the devil. That is not conviction but condemnation. The devil will make us feel like we must repent but will never give us anything to repent from. This is very entrapping! We feel low but don't know why!

Either way, you must be honest with yourself, access repentance and forgiveness, then go on!

Praying for you!

Berk-- we all love you on here, and are praying for you. God is FAITHFUL and He will help you. Memorize scriptures of deliverance and when your mind goes "there", spit out those scriptures. It's the best way to fight the enemy.

Praying with you brother.I know where you are at ,Sometimes my past comes back and dogs me .Know this ,satan loves to throw it in our face but we have been washed ,clensed and forgiven.Live out your baptism ,DEAD to sin and our past ;old man and alive unto rightousness.His mercy endures for ever and as, Isaiah chapter 55 says we have the sure mercies of David.

Bryan, you know I know....

I'll be praying for you.

One step at a time, one day at a time. Sometimes just standing still is all a person can do, at least it's better than going backwards. You'll make it.

No delay.

If you have repented, it is forgiven and forgotten by God!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll pray for you, if you pray for me.

I went to an Apostolic church that practiced confession of all sins to the Pastor for repentance and restoration, as a salvation issue....I don't know how other people on here feel about that.....

I wasn't so much worried about being forgivin for sins before I was baptized in Jesus name and filled with the HG. But, I don't think I had the most clear vision on repentance.......Anyways, It didn't take me long in that church to feel completely damned........I eventually left and haven't been to a church since....

Re: Repent or perish!

Son...God forgives...He gives grace by Annie Flint came to my mind:

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

Love you Bert....Mom Alvear
