I dont think Obama personally did anything wrong but there is no question that Obama is surrouned by thugs. and it still isnt clear if Rom Emanual is clean in this deal.
and Obama says he didnt have any discussions at all with Blago about the senate seat. That doesnt ring true.
something is fishy here. Not that Obama is guilty of any crime, but that he isnt being truthful about everything.
I personally think he knew Blago was up to no good but turned a blind eye and washed his hands. To me that is both legal and unethical.
nothing to try to do anything about but clearly something that reinforces my natural disdain for Obama and the Chicago Machine he came out of.

I know we'd all like to know everything that went down, but I'd like to remind everyone that this is still an ongoing criminal investigation. Not only that, there's been some discussion that perhaps the charge of selling the seat isn't going to hold up in court due to the vagaries of Illinois law.
I'd personally prefer that the feds get their ducks lined up, and usually, they do, but I've been told that the feds had to move earlier than they wanted due to the Chicago Tribune about to spill the beans.
I read the entire 76-page criminal information and came away with two, no make it three, things: 1) Blago is corrupt as the day is long 2) It's amazing what you can solicit a bribe for (hospital need certificates? whoda thunk it?) and 3) Blago was pretty upset (and profanely so) that Obama was only going to give him "appreciation" for selecting Obama's choice. OH, make it a fourth thing: Blago and his wife both swear like sailors.
Really, if you can get past the obscenities, the criminal information is rather entertaining. Of course, I did spend three years in law school so my idea of "entertaining" is probably exceptionally warped. I'm still waiting for the nitty gritty details of the Madoff Ponzi scheme.
