Thank you for the good wishes.
It's been a good day.
We had snow last night and when I looked out on the deck I thought it was mostly just a dusting. When I left the house at 7:20 I was surprised how slippery the roads were. Since this is the first Saturday of the month we had our FGBMFI breakfast at 8:00. I was elected Treasurer for another year.
After the FGBMFI breakfast I went to the Aglow morning meeting. I was recently asked to serve as an "Advisor" to this group. Some of these ladies are real prayer warriors and I'm part of a Wednesday morning prayer group that has been going on for more than 40 years where some of these ladies gather.
I didn't get home until after noon and a couple of grand kids and the boy friend of one of them were there to wish me a happy birthday and to move the Christmas Tree from the basement for me. They had shoveled the driveway and walk. Pat and I have had problems getting that tree out of the basement for the past couple of years so we've needed help.
After lunch, we got the tree up, then had some birthday cake and ice cream. A little later my daughter and a couple more grandkids came over for more happy birthday singing and cake and ice cream. We've just about got the tree finished --just a few more ornaments to try to fit in here and there.
I've received cards, emails and calls from several folks over the past few days. It's been a good birthday.
