Who knows I doubt if he does? When folks make the simple complicated it generally means they hope they confuse you to the extent that you will not ask any more questions.

Re: Dan Scott's Thought on Trinity
He clearly did not make clear that he was not Trinitarian.

Well, lets hear from someone who knows him and his church.
I understand that quite a few of his church members are on AFF.
So please tell us... is he Oneness, Trinitarian, or is he not sure?

I'd think after all that writing, his position would be fairly clear one way or another. But it's really not.

Does he say anything that a trinitarian could not agree with?
Does he say anything that a oneness person could not agree with?
One preacher who spoke at our ALJC church 40 years ago said that oneness and trinity folks actually believe the same, they just explain it differently.

I don't care what his members say I am commenting on what he wrote. I don't need an apologist I can read. YOU know as well as I Christ Church has Oneness roots that is not being discussed here. I think he deliberately made his comments oblique.

Well, we know he has Oneness roots. The question in my mind is is he still Oneness, or has he been tiptoeing toward Trinity doctrine of late?
His comments indeed are oblique. That's why I was wondering if someone who knows him fairly well might be able to clarify.
His words on that blog come across to me like the writings of someone who is shifting and drifting toward the Trinity... or one who may have already "crossed over", but just doesn't know how to come out and say it.

My definition of Nondenominational "they don't know what they believe and don't care what you believe."

Re: Dan Scott's Thought on Trinity
Dan Scott blogged: "The first and most important of these creeds is called the Apostles' Creed. No one knows for sure when it was written. We do know that Christians were quoting it in the second century. A couple of centuries later another important creed, called the Nicene Creed, was written. There are few Christians anywhere, with all our differences, who do not accept the doctrines that these creeds teach."
If you accept the doctrine of an eternally begotten Son that the Nicene Creed teaches, you're a Trinitarian.
