All the nail techs, all 12 of them are from Viet Nam and now have
American Citizenship. They are proud to be Americans, coming
from the COMMUNIST county of Viet Nam.
Talk of the election came up and I said to her, "I guess you're
voting for Obama".
Her reply,
"OH NO I'M NOT! I CAME TO AMERICA TO GET AWAY
FROM COMMUNISM. HE SOUNDS JUST LIKE THE POLITICIANS
FROM VIET NAM. MY HUSBAND AND I AND ALL THE NAIL TECHS
HERE WILL BE VOTING FOR McCAIN."
She's been here more than 10 years. I heard it straight from
one who knows what it's like to live under communist rules.
Is this what you want for America. WAKE UP AMERICA!
No intelligent person will argue this is the right way for
our country, AMERICA, LAND OF THE FREE to go!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Re: My Nail Salon And The Election!
I had my nails done this morning and had a conversation with one of the workers there who came to America from Vietnam. He told me that "he was scared about the election." He told me that he said the had come from a "place where the government is still communist" and that he did not want "the other one" to win. They had the Fox News on their TV with John McCain making a speech. He said that he had no choice but to vote for McCain but that he was concerned about Sarah Palin because "she has so many children and should be spending time with them"... However, he did say that he was going to vote for McCain.

This goes to show that those who have lived in other countries and have
not had the freedom we Americans have had, do NOT want that kind of
government here where they have found freedom. Those who do not listen
to those who've been there, done that, could likely find themselves learning
the hard way!!!

Re: My Nail Salon And The Election!
Falla, I thought you and others might like this...hope this isn't a repeat!
I think it sort of goes along with your thread.
~ ~ A REDISTRIBUTION STORY ~ ~
The other night Sally and I went out to dinner and I passed one of the homeless
guys near the restaurant, with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.'
Once in the restaurant I noticed my waitress had on a 'Obama 08' Button.
When the bill came, I decided not to tip the waitress and explained to her
that while she had given me exceptional service, the button she was wearing
made me feel she obviously believes in Senator Obama's plan to redistribute
the wealth.
I told her I was going to redistribute her tip to someone who I deemed
was more in need --the homeless guy outside.
She stood there in disbelief then angrily stormed away.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the waitress
inside, as I had decided he could use the money more.
The homeless guy looked at me in disbelief but seemed grateful.
As I got my car, I realized this rather unscientific Redistribution
Experiment had left the homeless guy quite happy for the money he did not
earn, but the waitress was pretty angry that I gave away the money she did
earn.
Well, I guess this redistribution of wealth thing is going to take a while
to catch on, ...at least with those doing the actual work.....
