That was my thought....we're listening to Sharon Osbourne???
Have people forgotten the "delightful" albums her husband produced in the early 80"s!!
I worked retail (large discount store) and one weekly task was unpacking and racking the new LP's. I didn't even want to touch them!!!

So does anyone think that Sharon may have a point when it comes to how Sarah's critics may view her? Regardless of who is making the point, the truth is still the truth. Let's not get sidetracked.

I think the SNL skits have hurt her. When she speaks that's all they think of and it has hurt her credibility.
I'm not sure I agree with that. Every politician since 1975 has been lampooned on SNL.
I think Sarah did the right thing by appearing on SNL and going with the flow instead of fighting it.
I'm just saying that her critics may have a couple of valid points, i.e. how many times McCain met her before he selected her, he just wanted a woman, etc.
Unfortunately, the thread seems to have turned to Ozzy's past and I'd like to hear the responses by others who may have some rebuttal to these charges.

I think her appearance on SNL was good. I agree with you on that.
I just feel that Tina Fey's portrayal of her being a "beauty contestant airhead" has affected how people see her. It has put doubt in their minds that she is up to the challenge. They don't remember the strong, take charge glimpse they got of her at the convention.
I think this feeling is what Sharon was expressing when she mentioned the Disney cartoon.
The point of McCain picking her because she was a woman WAS a calculated decision.
The point others are making of her lack of experience still bothers me because she's only second on the ticket. Obama is first on the ticket and doesn't have that many gold stars to post on the fridge!

Just look at how GWB is portrayed, not only on SNL, but Letterman, Leno, MadTV, and the list goes on!
And yet, he was re-elected.
I would agree that SNL parodied SP, but in my humble opinion, she'll overcome that part quite nicely. In a strange way, I really believe Tina Fey admires SP, to be honest.

You apparently didn't see Tina Fey speak after the last award show. She didn't have anything nice to say - - matter of fact, she said I can't wait until Obama wins so I don't have to do her anymore.
