Gov. Palin's pick is what has made it almost impossible for me to vote for Sen. McCain-- he already had some other stuff stacked against him in my mind.
Think of it this way - if happened to become Pres, she could pick a more experienced, seasoned VP like BO did. He doesn't have much experience and he's going for the Prez.

We play "42" with dominos - kind of like Spades. You can renege there too, but it's highly frowned upon. We take our 42 seriously! It's a Graham tradition, passed down from generation to generation.
1399- I think a lot of us are in the same place you are. My husband and I have discussed not voting. I cannot support Obama , because of his record, his background, and his inexperience, but I am not that thrilled about voting for McCain either.
Blubayou- I think that not voting in this election is just about the same as voting for Obama given the support base he has that is going to the poll no matter what. I hope you reconsider and tell your friends too.

I'm not voting for Obama, mainly based on 2 things. His stance on abortion. And the fact that Democrats like Obama, Hillary, and Kerry were receiving handouts from Fanny Mae. It's funny because people think a vote for Obama is a vote for change. I don't see it that way. That being said I have no faith in politics at all.
In the last debate even Obama conceded the next president in all probability will appoint one if not more members to the Supreme Court, this in and of itself is reason enough for me to vote the McCain/Palin ticket.
It has been stated in Newsweek rumor section that in exchange for Obama helping Hillary erase his campaign debt (which he did) he would nominate her to the Supreme Court.
This issue alone has the potential to affect the country for years if not decades.

ps hi Cindy
I have no doubt this would happen. I think she'd rather have this position than try to go for Prez in 2012. Much longer term.
