Can't. Not a 1-stepper, and was never a 3-stepper.

DAN ALICIA!!!!

No really. My initial questions came from reading the bible and listening to Dan Seagraves' class on Romans and Galatians.

Of course I always had those questions about speaking in tongues, baptism, thief on the cross, all the scriptures about believing and being saved, and of course Romans 10:9.

I am not sure I qualify as a former 3 stepper or even now a 1 stepper.

I believe faith that saves us, but that faith has various applications. In this age the application of faith is repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit as being the normative experience of a faith filled believer.

But what I can't find or see in scripture is a all or nothing approach.

I will not condemn a person who upon a sincere faith expression in Jesus being the answer to their sin problem.

Whom God justifies I will not declare them to be lost or not right with God.

But the believer who refuses to obey revelation and knowledge at that point refuses to be a believer.

Keith: very very few realize that to do this, judging one who God has made clean as unjust, is to blaspheme.

Of course blasphemy is no big sin, so go ahead, 3 steppers, and keep judging who God has redeemed or not.

What was it exactly that Segraves said that first gave you the epiphany that a person is saved at faith and not after the baptisms?

What interpretation do you think Peter came away with from the vision that God had given him on the roof: what God hath cleansed, that call not thou common?

Your question makes no sense (to me) in light of my post.

Sorry, I thought you were making an allusion to Acts 10 when you said this to Keith: "very very few realize that to do this, judging one who God has made clean as unjust, is to blaspheme."

This is apparently what Peter got from the vision: Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

Does that mean that Peter thought Cornelius and his household were clean meaning that they were just?

I am not so sure that it was anything that he specifically said. However, it was the first time as a UPCer from birth that I had ever heard those concepts. I was changed forever and I started to learn and study more and come to the conclusion that I couldn't hang on to something and defend something that I don't believe.

Specifically, what concept?

I'm not going to argue with you whether I think you are right or wrong and why on this thread, I'm curious to know what caused folks to change their beliefs.
