You could also have some fun teaching them about what liberalism is.

You could go and have them pick their favorite 10 toys then go at random and pick 5 and tell them you are taking them to the Goodwill (you can't even choose who to give them to. The Goodwill represents the gubberment).

You could also tell them that Barak Hussein Obama's financial plan is stealing from Jesus. They will like that too.

ummmmm...maybe we could discuss who was elected President on or around 1908? (When the first Model T was built)

Renaissance....hmm...

Issues:

The Economy (I'm not sure on this one....)
Healthcare (government provided healthcare vs. private insurance)
Abortion (pro-live vs. pro-abortion or pro-choice)
Taxes (higher vs. lower, and personal income vs. business)
The War (pre-preemptive strikes vs. reactive & pro-war vs. anti-war)
Energy (should we be allowed to drill on American soil? Why or why not?)
National Security (not sure....)
Guns (2nd Amendment)
Immigration (Open borders vs. closed or controlled)
Education (Public Schools vs. Private/Homeschool, address vouchers)

Other?
The Renassiance period had major political changes moving from the old Feudal System of the Middle Ages to a more liberal class system. The people were becoming less "God centered" and more "human-centered" .

You could tie this theme into our current situation!

Ohhhhhhh, GOOD POINT!!! See, this is why I need my AFF Friends!!! Humanism became a big deal during the Renaissance, people developed their mastery of the arts and sciences, but attributed it to themselves, rather than to God.

PERFECT!!! ((((((((PO))))))))))

Okay, I'm out. Work to do!!!!

Brilliant minds think alike...

Besides it is so cute when the kids repeat things like that to typical libs like their teachers, librarians, and the kid with the stud through her nose in the grocery store.

"Obama wants to steal money from Jesus? how cute!"

Re: Debate Topics For Kids

Since these are girls debating, maybe they could focus a little on women's issues in this race:

abortion (obviously)
Should Sarah Palin be running when she has children who need her?
Health care in regards to single mothers or even single women in the workplaces.

Just a few small suggestions
