And that's not happening on the Democratic side?
Hmmm?

That was not a pro-Democrat observation. It was an anti-blind partisanship observation. Maybe I need to change my sig line to "I am not a Democrat".

Re: Remind me - Who is voting FOR McCain?

Just waiting for some honesty ...

Someone to say you know Dan ... you are at least partially right ...

I think Obama is so dangerous based on the propaganda/information that I can't waste my vote this November and even though McCain really doesn't represent my ideals .... I will cast a vote against Obama.

Or .... Dan ... I was really down on the McCain ticket ... but because I see that Palin is now there and she appears to be a conservative stalwart and has re-vitalized a campaign that was DOA ...

It's more along the direction I'm at right now.

But don't insult ... our intelligence ... please. Worst of 2 evils or the lady ... is what any non-partisan reader at this forum would walk away with

When we see that African-Americans voted 91% Democrat in 2004, and are expected to vote as much as 95% for the Democrats/Obama this year, do you consider that blind partisanship?

Or are they just voting for Obama because they prefer his "specific policy promises" (to use your words) over McCain's?

Maybe I missed your anti-blind partisanship post where you talked about that.

Apparently you did. I have criticized that many times and have compared their blind partisanship to the blind partisanship of conservative Christians. I have said many times that when politicians can take your vote for granted and are not held accountable, it is counter to the democratic process. I said specifically that it is frustrating because I happen to belong to both of the major demographics that are guilty of this. I have said many times that I have this same conversation...only in reverse, when I am talking to a bunch of blindly partisan Black folks.

I am NOT voting for Obama, because he thinks he's black. I AM voting for McCain, because he chose Palin as his VP.

Re: Remind me - Who is voting FOR McCain?

This is a great thread with plenty of opportunity for supporters of John McCain to tell us why your voting FOR him. We've heard the factual and unfactual reasons why you won't consider Obama. Some of it's based on issues and other is based on rumormongering.

I, personally, decided there weren't enough reasons to vote FOR McCain. I also decided that Barack is entirely too liberal for me to support. They are both part of the problem in Washington. I'm voting for Bob Barr because I refuse to blindly support a Republican candidate "just because". I'll vote my principles and let people like James Dobson, who railed against McCain, simply be a party man and toe the line and conviently overlook the things he says he stands for.

It's blatantly (and painfully) obvious when one examines even here .... the number of anti-Obama threads and the cutesy Palin avatars ... while others are entranced by the "Palin effect" ... little is offered as to the reasons why we should vote for McCain ... in any.

Even Rush ... is guilty of this ... once a McCain hater, most of his show now is dedicated to everything other than why he's voting FOR McCain.

So why are you not voting FOR McCain again?

If McCain's health holds up ... you are are aware VP's are largely ceremonial and powerless .... right?

You do know that Obama is not the anti-Christ, Muslim or a communist despite what talk radio and email chains feed you day in and day out ... right?

Are you voting on McCain's resolute stand on "Conservative" issues? Doubt it ... if so you'd be voting for Paul or Barr.

When you get a chance take an inventory of the "conservative" analysts you laud and how they are approaching this election ... take a look at how your fellow forumites are approaching this .... and even your own reasons why you are not voting FOR McCain ...

might be a healthy exercise ... it might tell you about THE MAN McCain. It's a campaign based on hate, negativity, pandering and misdirection, IMO.

I'll pre-baptize this thread w/ the following accolades .... for my anti-Obama/Palin voter friends ...

And yes... TRUTH HAS BEEN SPOKEN HERE.
I'm afraid you can't back up the bolded statement.
