ok thanks- I'll have to check that out. I use to listen to "The bible answer man" radio show (hank hanagrah) but wont ever listen to it again. that guy is another hater.

Brother, everything I need to make Heaven is contained in God's holy Word. He doesn't need anyone's help in tweaking it to make it fit preconceived notions people may have, or even personal convictions people have. I will not be saved based on how I dressed in this world or whether or not I watched TV. My salvation is based on God's completed work on Calvary and nothing else. I believe good works follow faith, like the Bible says, but those good works aren't the clothes I wear. Those good works are what I do to bring the light of God's plan of salvation into the lives of those who are lost.

Agreed.

I used to be super strict... moreso than the church that I attend[ed].

I'll list some things that I believed that my church doesn't teach (I may or may not still hold to some of these beliefs) :

No PAGAN holidays

No wrist watches

No slits for women, I don't/didn't care if the skirt/dress touches the ground

No messy hair styles for men

Absolutely no short sleeves. long sleeves only!

No barbies for little girls, barbie looks like a slut

No trinitarian cd's ever. only apostolic music

No beach strolls.


I think there's more, but that's all that I can remember.
