He was wrong on the surge. We agree. However, he was never one to call for a hasty withdrawal of all combat troops. He has been clear in his words about that. I do not consider a 16 or 17 month phased withdrawal to be hasty at all.
Furthermore, he has always supported the idea of leaving troops behind for training and security-- but the Repubs don't focus on that part of his strategies.

I sincerely don't believe that the white folks of Iowa feel like they owe Barak Obama one dime. I don't think the whites of Oregon feel indebted to him either.

I dont see what Obama's father has to do with Obama the candidate.
I'm not an Obama fan, but I think some of the stuff that people try to dredge up is just irrelevant.
Why is Obama's father (or how many kids he had) important to us in 2008?

As Rico alluded to with his comment about "Billy Beer" I think the possibilities of there being some very interesting charactrers closely related to the new President are abound.
This bunch may make Jimmy Carter's wacko brother and sister look normal before it is all over.
To try and say that electing a President of the United States who has half brothers and sisters living in poverty in Kenya or having taken up residence in China (the other educated one by the second American woman) is not something new and strange is to stick ones head in the sand.
Obviously it has little bearing on Obama directly but it is baggage that comes with him.
It brings up interesting questions like;
If Obama is elected will his brothers in Africa use the white house email addresss book for the "Nigerian Scam"? LOL!!!!
If Obama is elected President how much money will his brother that lives in China make for "consulting fees" from Chinese and other Asain countries for access to bubba?
If Obama is elected President how many of these poor Kenyan brothers and sisters will try to cash in some way

I wonder why he hasn't gone to visit Kenya? Maybe he would be in danger there. I think Obama is white, until it's convenient to be black. Like running for political office.

My Dad's family is like that. Lots of kids, different women. I've got five myself, but they're all with the same woman. Then again, I'm still young enough that I could make a few more with another woman if something were to happen to Sister Honey Smooches. Not that I want any more, mind you, but making more is still a possibility. I hear ya on the rabbit thing.

He has gone to Kenya. I believe he has written about it in his books. He writes about meeting some of his brother and or sisters.
He met the one that is 10 years younger than him in Kenya some time ago I believe. Barak was 27 at the time and his brother was 17.
He also has met the brother whose mom was the other American woman the dad married. That brother was educated in America (has a Masters degree) and now lives in China.
