Is that even possible?

How can someone "Christ-like" have an enemy that is "Christ-like?"
Christ-likeness is an aspiration, not reality.

Absolutely, even on this forum. There is always two sides to a story but anyone who attacks my person when they should be defending their position ends up becoming my enemy.

I attract it to myself with honest and sometimes impulsive comments. It is my fault because I make myself and easy target.

It is their fault when they make judgements about my person and character when they don't know me, haven't met me, and make many false asumptions.

I am hurt for a time, then I get angry, then I reach the point of indifference, and they never again mean anything to me either way.

Some folks are so narcissistic and have a martyr complex, so naturally they have enemies.

Re: Have You Ever Had a Christian Enemy?

There is some people whom I go to church with who try to find fault in everything I do.
They have me under a microscope.

It didn't help much that I was vindicated a year later, I didn't get my job back. I considered the guy who fired me my enemy too for awhile since he was spreading the slander by using it as the basis for my dismissal. He apologized later, but the damage had been done (and still remains). Other stuff has happened too since then but that'll suffice I guess.

I love 'em all. But I don't trust 'em.
But, how can they be your ENEMY if they are your brothers?

What happens when two Christians, who become enemies, get to the judgement seat of Christ?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
