There is a shortage of medical personal worldwide even in the US!

The Mrs said they even have shortage of personal in Oregon.

All I know is that when I needed non-emergency surgery, i got it in a couple of days.

It's true there is a high demand, but people aren't sitting around waiting for necessary surgeries because of it, Ron.
