Carp - You are a bad, bad man! I really need a good MP3 player myself. I bought a cheapo chinese one last year and used it a little. Then I loaded it up with old time radio shows, sermons, Lake Wobegone, etc for my flight to Hawaii and five nights at sea only to have it decide not to work Arghhhh!!!!!!! I would also like to be able to hear podcasts. Of course it wouldn't be at a gym, LOL!!!

That sig line is awesome!!! I can imagine Dan Scott preparing a message about it...can you imagine showing that clip during the reading of the text?

You should see the costumes the puritans were wearing. I ran across the DVD of this episode that I had recorded off of TV a few years ago when I was cleaning out my garage a couple of days ago. I watched it that night and laughed all over again.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Yup. The best humor is grounded in reality!
It is all good though. As long as you remember that if you do have two chairs to stick that fork in your leg between courses to make up for it.

CC1, enjoyed his sermon. Now of coarse the puritans were not as dour as your signature line states. It's sad. I went to Christ College at Cambridge and that was once called the "nursery of the puritans" and their memory is ridiculed to this day.
But saying this, I enjoyed Pastor Scott's sermon.

Yup! Dawn French. It was a cute show. I particularly liked the old guy on the village council who would answer everything "no,no,no,no,no,no.....yes!".
The other best part was at the end of the show when Dawn French as the female pastor would tell jokes to the dumb blonde in the church. LOL!!!

Probably my favorite sitcom. I love the British. They are NOT PC in the least. My poor wife just doesn't get it.........
