Neither was the early Church's hope in this present world.

Ever since I came into the Church over 25 years ago, the world hasn't gotten better, but it has gotten worse.

What we are squabbling about here in politics today will be peanuts in just a few short years IMO.

I and my wife were talking the other night and she said that if it wasn't for our kids and a few more souls to gather in, she wants to go to be with Jesus!
Lately, I have been feeling the same thing.
Let's get what souls we can and get outa here!

This world will never truly be home to a One God Apostolic!
Nor will this world enact laws that will even give me a modicum of feeling that we are somehow making a difference in our world's governments.

Where does your hope lie?

If it is in McCain or Obama, you are going to be sorely disappointed when on the Wednesday Morning after the vote that things are still the same and in fact getting worse!

Tit 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

will be peanuts compared to what Ron ?

Am I the only one that likes it here and doesn't want the world to end?

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?
Some day I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemondrops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Will be peanuts to what we could be facing.

What could that be?

China is growing in financial power & in weapons status & wants to challenge the US for supremacy-at least in Asia.

Russia, while taking about ten steps back after the collapse of the old USSR is now awash in money from oil revenues & does not want to take the back seat to America anymore.
They have the money to do it.

There are a hundred different scenarios that could play out-none of it good IMO!

I don't want it to end either, but I do want a world wherein Righteousness dwells.

It will necessitate the ending of the old world to usher in the new.

Re: What Do We Seek?

Appreciate this post and it's message, let us focus on Christ and his work.

Phillippians 4
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

If you really wanted to do the will of God you'd vote for Obama and do your part in ushering in the anti-Christ!!
