But that's not encouraging.

Women's bodies are geared to birthing babies, and feeding them. We need the extra fat. And muscled women are freaky to me. Not being in shape, but the over muscular ones.

Re: For the Guys that Exercise for Bodily Appearan
Dan,
If you do it for anything, do it for your health. we are killing
ourselves and blaming it on God. I sure don't measure up to
perfection on eating right. It's hard, but I try. I refuse to be
fat.
Here's a few tips that i learned let me know if this helps:
1. Don't crash Diet Here is why.when you go on these diets,
you lose muscle, not fat.
2. ALWAYS ALWAYS Eat Breakfast and hydrate(with water) yourself as soon as you wake up or at least within one hour. Eat a lot of Fruit,
protien shake,Cereal. If you eat early, you will not eat heavy at night. also, you'll have all day to work it off. If you don't eat breakfast,
you will always struggle with your weight, period
ever notice how the French eat pasteries but stay thin?
they eat smaller portions and eat their carbs in the morning
so they have all day to work it off.
3. Eat slower and take a break after you eat a reasonable
amount of food.It takes your stomache time to tell your
brain your're full.
4. Sugar not only turns to fat but cancer feeds off of sugar.
avoid it as much as possible.
5. only eat ONE Carb at a time! when you sit down at a meal,
give yourself a choice; it's either bread or rice. it's either potato
or bread. and only eat one piece of bread slowly. Dough
causes your stomache to swell up. ever wonder why a lot of
men have bellies that look like they are swollen? BREAD
6. Try to stuff yourself on salads, soups and veggies before
the main meal so you already feel sort of full.
Don't totally deprive yourself or your body will protest. If
you have to have that ranch dressing, DO NOT let the
restuarant put it on for you! Ranch dressing is like eating
raw butter. have it on the side and only put a table spoon
full on your salad. if you mix it real good you'll still get the
taste.

I agree with you that men do have more muscle thus they burn more weight or fat. Incase you are wanting to know I encourage you to kick start your weight loss, THIS IS ONLY IF YOU WANT TOO, by doing a protein load. It is easy and not too hard on ya. Just for the first 3-5 days, 3 is what I do but 5 to really get the ball rolling, eat all the meats and RAW green veggies you can. Stay away from pork during those days and the following 5 days eats pork but drop beef and you can now eat cooked veggies and start adding small carbs, like half a baked potato with low sodium butter or something like that. This will help to kick start weightloss while you workout. Of course the best plan for attack is not to look short term but long term by changing the over all activity and eating patterns. Gotta do something different inorder to be something different. Go get'em!

Low carb is definitely a way to lose weight I have had much success with it in the past, it's just hard to stay on indefinitely.

Way back in the day, when I came to Christ in the early 80's, I was into bodybuilding and I thank God everyday that I stopped.
When I was into it, women wanted to look like Rachel MacLish, she was slim looking and feminine not at all like the steroid mannish looking ones today.
When I work out with weights now, I go very light or just stick to cardio to avoid looking too muscular!

I strongly desire the finished product, but I have not been able to be consistant working towards my goal. This is not something as easy as go to the gym and find a workout partner because I drive a truck for a living so I must find my motovation within myself because I can't go to the gym frequent enough. I have all I need to work out the upper body on the truck, so it's not an issue of not having the means. It's just not having enough will. Any advise with motovation for a guy that must go it alone (so to speak)?

I eat a very clean mostly vegetarian diet, I'm not much over weight (although I could stand to loose about 3 inches around my waist) I have the knowledge and know how to do to make it happen, but I lack one very important thing and that is motovation (I did alot better today than I've done in a few weeks) I even have a minature stair stepper in my truck for cardio but it sits mostly idle.

I'm not a gym goer but I exercise. It's easy to get lazy
but once you form a habit, you'll begin to feel the need
for it. come on Daniel, stop being a slacker
