Sometimes it was worth the mess for the memory!

I remembered the picture and have been searching all my albums and couldn't find it. THEN, I remembered I had pulled a lot of her pictures to make a poster about her for show-n-tell in school and have never returned them to the correct albums.

I thought it was perfect to put inside her cookbook along with one of my mother and I cooking Christmas dinner.

It is a perfect idea!

When my daughter was in Kindergarten they put together a cookbook. The kids had to recite their favorite recipe from memory. lol I'll have to find that and post what my daughter wrote - hilarious.

Here's her recipe, from memory, for Lemon Pie.

You cook this meat and you put butter, sugar, lemon, milk and you put 2 pecans on it and put it in the oven. You sit and watch in the kitchen and when you smell it, you take it out and put 2 pecans on it. Yummy!

I have no idea what she was cooking up!

Chocolate Cake

Put this much milk. Then you kinda put this much flour. Then you put all different color sprinkles. Stir it up. Then put this much chocolate to spread it all over. You can lick the bowl after you put it in a pan. You can let your grandkids lick the bowl. Put it in the oven for 40 minutes. Take it out and bring it to school for when the party starts.

Meat with Potatoes

Cook some meat. Peel that stuff off of nine potatoes and use 10 pieces of meat. Mix it together and cook it 5 minutes on the stove. Put it on a plate and put it on the table and then eat it.

That's the part I thought was cute - knowing it was done when you smell it.
