Re: Bush/McCain: Leaving America's Troops Behind

an accurate title to this thread would be

Bush/McCain oppose proposed new GI Bill....

the current title of this thread is an out and out lie.

Chris, my question for you is why do you want to lie?

Frankly, this "bill" is an election year gambit designed to generate puff pieces in the media - kind of like your post here, Chris. It's such an obvious ploy that I'm surprised you fell into line and regurgitated the propaganda. You're more savvy than that; or do you think AFF is not savvy enough to know what year it is?

Bro, you know I'm a free thinka. Conservatives think I'm a raging liberal and the liberals think I'm a rightwing nut. That's because I choose what I think on each issue independently. For example I agree with the Republicans on energy...but I agree with the Democrats on health care.

Some will agree lock step with the side they choose. I don't. I make up my own mind. And in all honesty I think we're selling our troops a bill of bad goods. We should do far more for them.

This is targetted to those who are currently serving. Yes, it may draw some into the military but remember...it's war time. They'll know going in they will be deployed before receiving benefits.
