Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Well,
I think most of us have been or are pharisees at some time or another.
Most of us, whether we want to admit it or not, have judged and looked down on someone else as not being as "good" or "spiritual" as we are.
Most of us have placed an undue emphasis on how we are seen by others and not as much emphasis on how God sees us.
Most of us have felt pretty good, even smug, at how we are "growing" in the Lord.

Re: Leadership Arrogance

BTW this analogy applies to all Apostolics. I find many of us expect God to just give us "Apostolic Revival" because after all we ARE Apostolics (in doctrine)....that assumption is a death sentence to real revival. We need to be Apostolic in practice.

I hope as an Apostolic I do not need to ever be revived. I may need renewed from time to time but I hope I never get to the point I need to be REVIVED.
