I drive an hour on Sunday service... but go to my brother's church on Wed nights/mid week adn it is only a mile away.

lol actually I attend the church my parents were out of... so the bishop was my parent's pastor and I have about 100 family members there.

My brother pastors the church my father pastored for 36 years before his death...

I'm involved in the music in my church and love it.. great youth group. I like both churches....so kinda have membership in both.

even support both financially.

Werks for us to be church hoppers. lol

As for me, I drive just a few miles. I like it that way. But when I lived in Memphis, we used to drive 70 miles to church. When I stayed in Green Bay, we used to drive 25 miles to church!

I don't mind a 25 mile drive... Not too bad... We usually listen to preaching or music all the way there... It's that drive back that used to tire me! So living just around 6-8 miles from the church isn't bad!

In Louisiana, closer does not always mean better.

I supppose the churches closer to me are okay...I really don't know, but when I was desperately seeking God in my greatest hour of need and asking Him for a church, I truly believe He sent my Pastor to me.

I drive about 34 miles in about 40-45 minutes to church. I don't like it but can bear it. However my wife is really, really tired of it.

It also keeps us from being able to attend many church classes,etc. Of course the past six months or so we have been "Sunday" Christians anyway as my wife is the nanny to a baby girl until 8 pm on Wednesdays.

Having a pastor that you truely believe in is worth a lot more than a 25 mile drive. I am glad you have found such a blessing!
