Re: Western District Conference Controversy
Why is the information here so so secret? Who is the pastor, the bishop and where was this supposed to be? I've been out of the UPC so I long I no longer know all the code and the "Who's Who". Is AA Allen Alda? I didn't realize the WD was THAT liberal.

Probably for the same reasons you don't want to list details about yourself, your pastor, and your former pastor....
This is all sensitive stuff, and people are walking on eggshells right now. Not fun.

NO it is not. This is not a snapshot since the WD is going to be split into two new Distincts. The South already has it's board selected.
And just who are we supposed to believe anyways? There is always so much rumor going around I never know what to believe...
In fact I hear tell the pastor in question as a propeller that springs out of his butt and flies him around the church while he is preaching...it's amazing really

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Ouch. That sounds painful.
Diz, you show me your name and I'll show you mine.

Number 1. When I said Western District, I meant Western District. This conversation has nothing to do with the Southern District. And respectfully, I do know what I am talking about and it isn't rumor. Since it isn't your district that is being discussed, you don't have to worry about it.
Number 2. Since I don't have any idea if you have any idea what situation it is that I was referring to, I guess it is your choice to have an opinion about whether or not I am overreacting. I and many others that know about this situation are very upset about it. I guess that is my prerogative to feel how I want about any given situation.
P.S. The district isn't splitting, it is split. Done. We are sharing events this year for convenience sake only.

Oh, it sounds like you were probably gone a long time before my name (surname) meant much to anybody in this district. I have a very close relative who has been involved in district leadership for a while now, but is currently a free man.
But I'd LOVE to hear yours!!!!!
