Can I ask a sticky question did belonging to a ministerial affliation have anything to do with ministers departing from AFF ?
Forgive me if I am out of line asking such.

There they can find plenty of fault.
Quick summary: the ministers who were owners decided it was in the best interest of their ministry to step down as owners. Those who stepped out as owners were Steadfast/The Dean, StMatthew, And BOOMM. New owners were chosen by the only remaining owner, Renda.

So are you saying that the mass exodus had nothing to do with anything that anyone said or did here on the forum? That it was motivated by external forces?
If you can't answer that here, would someone mind PMing me, please?
I've done a lot of reading in the past few days for what it's worth here is my .
I read the posts by the different ones who said they were leaving. Just about all of them mentioned the forum taking a different direction and going liberal. So based on those statements, I'm willing to draw my own conclusions about the exit of the old owners.
Maybe the exit was because they weren't able to keep the forum leaning as far to the conservative side as they would have liked for it to be. What other reason would they have for running off when things became too liberal for their liking.
That makes no sense at all to me. The logical thing to do would be to try to keep a balance between the two. You can't control how people post on an internet forum. You can just hope that there is enough posts from each view to balance things out. If there seemed to be more conservative postings, encourage those from the other side of the coin to post more. If there seemed to be more liberal posters sharing their views, encourage more conservative members to post more. How in the world do they expect the scales to be balanced if all the conservatives jumped off their side of the scale?

I'll tell you what make sense to me when I give my good-bye speach .. and then you can all dissect it and figure out what I REALLY meant.

I will state that I have not been harmed in any way by participating on AFF. My faith has never been shaken. I still hold to the Truth, which by the way is Jesus...oh and he's also the way and the light and the life...........
I haven't been here as frequently as in the past, but mainly due to my dad's passing away.
Can anyone give me the rundown on the run off?
What did I miss that has caused this great exodus?
Who all has left us permanently?
All of the libs posted pics of themselves in speedo's and the conservatives took offense and left.

We need to recruit new conservative members. Does anyone have access to some conservative Apostolics email lists!

Let me give my opinion.
The dynamics of a mixed forum of Cons and Libs is a tricky thing. Cons by belief are more demanding. As it has been stated, because they do not see most libs as saved, cons have less tolerance for them. Therefore for a forum to thrive with both libs and cons, the forum must lean more to the right. Because of divers reasons, some of the cons withdrew a little while back. This caused an ever so slow moving of the forum to a more liberal forum (poster wise). As this happened, more cons began lurking, or left. This has finally come to the place that I and the other owners felt we could no longer continue.

It's all about marketing, folks!
I'm not a salesperson. Something has to sell itself for anyone to buy something from me.... like peanut brittle, girl scout cookies, etc.
I can't even get people from my church to come post here. I tried a long time ago to get people to come check it out. If they are checking it out, and have become members-- it's unknown to me. I think it has a lot to do with many of them not knowing anything about computers.....
I can't get my own brother to come post here. I won't get into the reasons for that.

and there you have it. My opinion.
So you're saying what I said all along.
It's the fault of the cons refusing to post that left the forum with the liberal lean that the remaining cons are complaining about.
Don't get mad at me... I'm just picking at you.
But on THIS point, I am serious. You could all stick around as posters, without the stress or stigma of being owners.. and help balance this thing back out.
