The "poll" is nonsense and means nothing. Many of us, including me, paid it no attention.
We really cant draw any serious conclusions from a poll like that.

Steady--
I am so sorry that you're leaving us. I have appreciated all your postings, and your kindness to me even though we were miles apart on some issues. If I ever get to the place that I cannot be kind to someone who disagrees with me, I hope someone smacks me and tells me to get off this forum!!
I will definitely still stay connected to you through Scott. He has told me some great stories on you! LOL!

Re: A Mystery Revealed; A Chapter Ending
Steadfast,
A very eloquent post and much appreciated. The last few months work and other things have conspired to keep me away from AFF to a large degree so I do not feel that I have a total understanding of what transpired but I have been around enough to know that I also have not liked the tone of some posts.
It is such a simple principle that peoples views must be shown at least a modicum of respect for civil dialog to continue and a forum like this to be successful that I just don't understand why some people don't get it.
As you know we stand on opposite shores of the great expanse that is Oneness Pentecost today. I have no doubt that you think I am absolutely 100% wrong in many of my doctrinal views, the subject of corporate legalistm...er...standards, etc. Without a doubt I think you are wrong on the same issues. However we have always managed to discuss those differing views without belittling each other personally or injecting disdain and condescension into the mix.
Oh I know over the years I have crossed the line a few times just as my conservative friends have but it was always the exception and not the rule.
If any UPC or other conservative lurkers are reading this post this is a clarion call for you to register or if you are already registered to start posting to contend for the orthodox old time Oneness Pentecostal positions!

Steadfast:
I do not know who you are (?) however I have always looked forward to reading when I see a post of yours. I hope you will find the time to post when you can. This is about the only forum I post on and even though some may say far out things I love many of the people here and feel many have a deep sincere love for the cause of Christ.
I know it is people that makes forums however to our loss some do not know how to disagree in peace without being offensive...that is very sad for the first fruit of being a christian is love...that comes before anything else...it seems at times it is is the most skipped over fruit.
Thank you for your many posts and I pray God bless you. Sister Alvear

Re: A Mystery Revealed; A Chapter Ending
SD, unlike many others, I know exactly who you are, the group you do your best to minister to and the circles you fellowship in. I deeply respect all of that and also your "princely" post above. You have been walking a tight rope between that group and this forum and have tried to do your best how you saw fit. No one can begrudge you for that. Things don't always work out the way we expect them to. Lord knows I have plenty of experiences like that.
Hopefully, (I know you do) we all understand that forum world is just a small microcosm and there are certainly bigger fish to fry!! May your boat be full of them and may the Lord grant you a great harvest!!!!
You're appreciated!!

Re: A Mystery Revealed; A Chapter Ending
While reading the "farewell" threads the last few days, I felt compelled to let StMatt, BOOMM, you and other admins know that your labor wasn't in vain. Truly, it would be very difficult to know the impact that AFF has had on people's lives. Personally, AFF was a tool that was very instrumental in me reconnecting with God and his saints.
My life has been forever changed by your sacrifice and I wanted to thank you for everything that you have done. Though people have tried to paint AFF as some sort of liberal, preacher bashing, apostate forum: The Lord knows that it has been a soul saving, healing beacon to many lost and hurting souls.
God bless you as you have been such a blessing to so many.
Sincerely,
CB1

CB, I couldn't have said it any better than you did right here.
For ME, this is what it's all about.
Steadfast, may I echo CB in saying thank you for your participation here and all that you've put into making this forum go. Your labor certainly has not been in vain. I am another grateful soul.
