New beginnings take on such different meanings and often carry great proportions, depending on the who, what, where, and how of it all.
Perhaps it is a new job opportunity or moving to a new city.
Maybe it is a new church or a change in an organizational affiliation.
For some it may be a change in marital status...recently married, divorced, or widowed.
Some of these things can bring joy while others bring tremendous sadness or regret.
But the fact is, regardless of the issues facing us or our personal situations, everyday that we rise from our bed of slumber is a day of new beginnings. It is a day which we have never seen before and will only glimpse again through the eyes of memory.
It is a new day of opportunity for giving and loving and extending mercy and opening the doors of heart to those in our realm of influence.
As well, it is a new day of restoration and healing and forgiving and receiving forgiveness and allowing ourselves to be blessed.
If we have fallen, we can get up and run again because this is a new beginning. The sin is not in botching it...the sin is in not repenting, and refusing to get up and try again.
Today is ripe with with opportunities for success or failure. The choice of receiving and giving that which is better rests with me and with you.
Kurt Carr wrote...
I've got so much to thank God for
So many wonderful blessings
and so many open doors
A brand new mercy
along with each new day
That's why I praise You
and for this I give You praise
For waking me up this morning
For starting me on my way
For letting me see the sunshine
Of a brand new day
A brand new mercy
along with each new day
That's why I praise You and for this
I give You praise
This is a day of new beginnings...may it be a glorious one for you and for me!!

Re: Beginning again...
New beginnings don't just fall out of the sky, and *poof*, like magic, we begin again to regain what we've lost, or through error have forfeited.
Beginning again takes time and energy. There has to be a desire to get up and run again, and it is not always as easy as some would make it seem.
It may mean speaking the Word..."Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
It may mean rebuking the mouth of the gainsayer...
A naysayer is not the same as a gainsayer. A naysayer says, "No...I refuse to believe it is possible." In essence, they are denying the working power of God's grace.
But a gainsayer is even worse...they speak evil and do all they can to make sure that we not only can't run again...they don't want us to even get up off the floor!!
But if there is a desire to get up and run again...if God has done a restoring work in your life...if He has imparted words of healing to your inner beings, it doesn't matter in the long run what folks say or do.
Oh, they may try to put the breaks on momentarily, but the last word comes from the Creator of all things, and HE says you can!! He says get up from there and be about my business!! He says regardless of what man may say or do, I have your back!!
New beginnings are not always easy, but you can do this...you can!!
On this day, may you rise to your full potential in Christ Jesus!!
