As a matter of fact, I have a great friend here, whos father was a Senator in Mexico. my friend came to America to go to bible school and is now minister of music at a local church.

his brothers are very high up in the government in Mexico. Wonderful people.

Actually I don't know if McCain is as bad as the media is making him out to be.
I might start another thread, "Why should I vote for McCain"
Well, if by media you mean MSNBC/CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC/New York Times/Washington Post....

Then the media hasnt made him out to be so bad.

Now if by Media, you mean

Rush Limbaugh/Sean Hanity/Mark Levin etc... then he is just short of hillary.

MM, I think you are reading more into the comment than she meant.

the reality is, Hillary has to have the Hispanic vote to beat Obama. Hispanic vote means the wide swath of hispanic workers in America. many of these people who are legal work well above the minimum wage, but have many friends and relitives who are not legal. They care about their friends and families and therefore, care about raising the minimum wage to a great degree more than the rest of us for very good reason.

African Americans and White liberals are splitting between Hillary and Obama in a way that will remain unchanged by this particular item. Hispanics however, are where the battle for the Democrat nomination is being fought.... At least where Hillary is concerned.

The #1 reason hispanics will be relunctant to vote Republican is because of the Republican stance on immigration reform.
While the millions of Latinos that are voting are obviously legal, we all know someone or have a family memeber that has immigration issues.

I really don't want to get into a conversation about the whole immigration issue, I have stated more than once that I am in favor of reform. You will NEVER be able to deport 14 million people, it won't happen. You have to deal with where we're at, and that's it...

As a Latino, the candidates stance on immigration reform will affect the way I vote.
