On my dad's side, his mom & dad were married in Sharon, N.D in 1913 shortly after they both arrived from Norway.
From that union there are almost 500 descendants as my dad was 1 of 12.
We go back to the Vikings.
On my mom's side, her dad was from Scotland & in our direct lineage we descended from Robert the Bruce the only King of Scotland.

I traced both sides of the family.
My dad is named after his Grandfather. Who was here in New York city as far back as 1850. His name was John A Eckstadt the same as my dad.
My grandfather Arthur George Eckstadt was in WW1 and was on the USS Nathanial Fanning.
I have his service records.
They sunk a U-Boat U-58 in November 1917 and it was a major victory in
WW1.
The Naval Cross and several other medals were earned for the battle victory.
Some 50 plus Germans and commanders were captured and taken captive.
My grandfather was given a letter of accomodations from the President of the US as well.
My Grandmother my dads mom was the house keeper for Movie Actress Barbara Stanwyck .
My Grandmother was given a set of Louis the 15th furnature by Barbara Stanwyck.
My Grandmother passed away in 1943 at the age of 31.
My Grandfather Eckstadt re-enlisted in the Navy during WW2 at the age of 45 and served on a ship until Sept 1945.
My dads sister Florance died at the age of 11 during his time off to WW2.
My grand father passed away in March 1971 unsaved.
My dad was a childhood friend of Frank Torre the older brother of Joe Torre former NY Yankee manager.
Both my grand father and the Torre's dad served on the police force together.
My dad received the HG in 1953 at the age of 18 at an AOG church Brroklyn, NY.
Then moved over to the UPCI in 1963.
My moms side of the family are from New Bruswick,Canada and are related to the 11 President James K Polk.
My Grand Mother is on his family tree located at his museum at his personal residence in Columbia, Tennessee.
My grand parents came to the US to work in Boston in 1921 as a couple with a newborn son...

When Social Security found out she was not listed as a Citizen.
She had lived in the US for 50 years.
She pass away in 1996 at the age of 98 and was a great Oneness lady of faith...
