You mother had no choice they cut her hair she was not violating the passage. The minute the surgery was over it began to grow again. I certainly hopes she recovers fully.
Great (and obvious) answer, Bro. Epley. Good to see you posting!
Pianoman, I feel like adding your Mother to my personal 'prayer list' of those particular things that I make sure I touch God for every day. Keep us informed from time to time.
I haven't been to that thread yet, so I'll have to check it out!
I just thought it was unique that my mother, who has never cut her hair, wants to carry her cut hair with her. I'm wondering (out loud) if she somehow feels guilty!
My question was just to sit the pot a little! It's getting too boring around here!
I sure hope she would not feel guilty PM...she has no need to.

Her name is Jeanette. Thanks for your prayers. She is experiencing a lot of pain where the surgery was, and is having bouts of dementia. The doctor told us this was pretty normal because of all the medication she was required to take before the operation.
That's hard on loved ones when that happens, I pray she'll recover quickly.

Bro. Epley, that's a wonderful reply! We are praying that the surgery helps with her balance. She is 71 years old, and has has to use a walker to get around because she falls all of the time. She will have to endure intense physical theropy over the next few weeks to help her stand and walk correctly.
Please pray that God heals her completely where she can live a normal life again!
Where in the bible does it talk of brick church buildings with stained glass windows...but non the less we have them.
You seem offended..sorry bro
Your answer does not apply because types of building that churches are made out of is not part of the doctrine of the covenant. But since Paul was the one who wrote the most about the New Covenant, and since he said that if any was spiritual they would agree that what he wrote was the commandments of the Lord, which would make them a part of the covenant, and since he wrote about hair, it is a part of the covenant.
Offened, No. But if you are making fun of those that keep his covenant I think God might be.
I agree! The question has already been asked and answered in the thread -
"Is It Wrong". Go there for your answer!
OK, I read the thread "Is it Wrong..." and it is talking about wigs. My mother will not need to wear a wig. She'll have to redesign her hairdo to have it come down a bit on her neck, then back up to cover the shaved part of her head. As her hair grows back, she can fix back the way she used to.

Whoo hoo, then I'm okay too in some of your eyes because I don't cut my hair - my hairdresser does.
PM, I hope you have added your mom to the prayer section too.
Praying all goes well!
Thank you all for your prayers!
In my mind I was hoping she would get up off the operating table and walk out of the hospital in wondeful health! Reality has sunk in, and she is in a lot of pain, and has a lot of healing to do!
