I think this is a truly typical cultish way to say God will punish you for thinking contrary to my belief system. Got enough of that through the years.
Somehow I am not surprised by your own cultish answer..........typical of the camp........
Any name dropped or link posted would involved personalities from which, including Jesus himself, there would be a controversy ensued. It will become an us vs. them. It always happens.
However, you might refer to the USA Today sometime back in the 1980s for a little of the story. Consult the Texarkana prison video archives for the the other part of the story.

The online archive of USA Today goes back only to 1987, and I can't find anything like this story. Was it before then? If you have the article, could you scan it?
Did it happen at the Federal Correctional Institution of Texarkana? Will they really give me access to their 20+ year old video archive?

That's the only fed prison in Texarkana. I don't know if that would be considered public record or not, so maybe not.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Hoping there's some record of this incredible incident at the prison. The deaths of several prisoners on the same day would be a major event, requiring investigation etc.

He was discharged in 1983, if I rightly recall. No, I did not keep a copy of the article.
It was a Tax evasion case for which he was exonorated and all properties confiscated was returned to him WITH AN APOLOGY from the IRS. It is said that the IRS never apologies to anyone. So yes, it was in a federal institution.
It was said that the struck man was hit by lightening as it was seen on surveillance cameras. However, there was not a cloud in the sky at the time.
But, if you were see a miracle would you believe God? No. Those who depend on miracles to believe God, never really come to believe him...only to just remain curious. Faith is based on the Word and not on some sensation.
Look what happened to the boys who mocked Elisha. She bears made dinner out of those boys.
Look what happened to Herrod who accepted the praises of the people who said, "It is the voice of God, not of a man," Angel standing nearby struck him and he fell down being eat up with worms.

It so happens that I do believe in God. Why would you think otherwise? But I agree that stories of miracles are not good support for belief. That's kinda my point, in fact. And if that's true, what is the point of these miraculous murders, if not to alert people to the danger of not believing?
If I'm not mistaken, the point of these stories (the ones on this thread, not all miracle stories) is that God will (or might) kill you if you mock Him or disrespect Him or disbelieve the people who claim to speak for Him. In other words, contrary to LadyChocolate's post, God is "out to get you". Toe the line, or else.
