WOW, that brought back some memories..The one I recall was about "Momma"...I think it started out with "Hello Momma" and he was calling to tell her that all those tears were not in vain. My mother-in-law had his album.
Oh I know... I've got so many of his songs burned into my brain because for a few years it was all we had in the house to listen to!
He sang a song called "Drinkin' of the Wine" it said "you can't go to heaven in a rockin' chair, the Lord don't allow no lazybones there..."
I don't think songwriting was among his greatest abilities.. but I enjoyed his piano playing when he was at our church to preach.
