At my last job we got great Christmas bonuses. Usually close to $1000. I did tithe. However, you got me thinking. Last year my husband got a turkey from his company and we did not tithe on that.

That's what I was thinking...I should have wrapped up a leg in foil and dropped it in the offering plate on Sunday

I'm sure there's someone out there that would say that we should've figured out the retail value of the turkey and tithed cash on it, but that never even crossed my mind.

I get one, generally around $3k, will get it in a few days. Lord do I ever need it this year as the gas increas is killing me on every front. $10.00 a day to get from here to there and back again.

This could potentially be the last one though as it was anounce to us out of the blue Wednesday that we were aquired by a concern in Germany. I am not even sure I have the guarantee of a Job for the next year. On the bright side it would save me ten bucks a day. What ticks me is it was a 100% American co, another chunk of the USA sold off to Europe.

Giving to the church is not an option. Not just tithing but offering as well.

Oh well,
Time head out the door to go work for the Germans.

$750.00 here. Wouldnt you just naturally tithe on that? I would think it is like a paycheck.

My husband can sympathize with you. The place he works was sold off to a German Company a couple of years ago. The majority of the benefits walked out the door with the American owners. They are still the best paying place in this area to work. I suppose that's because of them having the Steel workers union there. If it weren't for that, they would have probably had a paycut too.

I volunteer throughout the year as an EMT/Firefighter and got a "reimbursement" check for gas etc. . I gave that check to Kristin.

I also plan on giving myself a Christmas Bonus...

I will be tithing doubleshots to all who enter the Hoover house.

We were told they are taking coffee away at the beginning of the year. does that count?

and does that mean I can now take coffee from the church as a reverse tithe?
