Re: World Wide Revival Proclaimed by UPC
It only takes one person at a time to spread the gospel. We all have chance to be part of a world wide revival. We tell one person, and they tell one person, and so on.

Re: World Wide Revival Proclaimed by UPC
The next big move of God will not be in the 'church'. You can rest assured that when the next move of God comes, the 'church' will fight it to the bitter end. We saw that 2000 years ago when a new movement and a discarding of the old movement was fought by the organized 'church' of that day.
Something new is coming and it's going to be the beginning of the end for the organized religions of the world.
Are you ready?

Ain't gonna happen. There's been 2000 years of one person telling another person and the world isn't much better off than it was 2000 years ago. Still wars and religion and politics and hate and killing.
Christianity has generally failed, sad to say. Time to move on to the next move of God when it comes.

In my opinion, there was an "early rain" outpouring off the Spirit in the early church and there is a "latter rain" in the current church. In my opinion the church is made up of all those who believe in Jesus, whether they've been baptized in water or not and whether they've been baptized in the Holy Spirit or not. In my opinion "the last day revival" has been going on for some time now. The rain is falling, just step out into it and enjoy it.

There have been several outpourings of the Holy Spirit in these "last days."
One began in the late 1800's and early 1900's in North Carolina, Tennessee, Armenia, India, Topeka, Houston, Los Angeles.
One took place in the 1940's and 1950's and was known as the Healing Revival. Names still remembered are: Branham, Coe, Lindsay, Allen, Roberts and some more.
Another outpouring in the 1940's and 1950's was actually called The Latter Rain.
Then there was the Charismatic Movement which began in 1960.
Then there was the Jesus Movement in the 1960's and 1970's.
Since then we've seen Willow Creek, the Vineyard, Saddleback etc.
I remember the Charismatic movement and the Jesus movement. As a Conservative OP I was quite conflicted. I could see that people were receiving blessings and power from God and were being baptized in the Holy Ghost and operating in the gifts of the Spirit and lives were being changed BUT, they did not look like us and act like us and did not come to us to find out how to be baptized and how to dress. Somehow we OP's believed we had an exclusive franchise on the Holy Spirit and God just ignored us and our little organizations and poured out His Spirit upon those who hungered and thirsted for Him and who sought Him ---and we didn't like it.

I remember in the late 70's in Louisiana, large outside billboards were erected all over the state proclaiming "The End Time Revival," and was promoted as the final revival, the end was coming, not much time left for getting saved! And it was promoted as imminent! That was well over 30 years ago and, .... well it was not what it was advertised to be? Is that okay? Should we make these kind of proclamations? and if we do shouldn't they come true.

End time revival? Is there one? I don't know. I don't worry about it. I try my best to give my absolute best to spreading and applying the gospel to the unchurched, feeding the hungry, helping the poor, connecting with the irreligious and cynical and displaying all of the love of Christ that I can to all who need Him.
I'll let God worry about time in history it is. Shame on those who think that suddenly a heavenly magical wand has been waved so now they can finally get serious. Fooey on that. My unsaved neighbors haven't been waiting on the end-time revival. They've been waiting for me to love them and accept them unconditionally.
