Seriously....I think this issue needs to be seen SEPARATE from a church issue. This is a secular issue and we can all have our opinions on secular issues, but first and foremost we need to have a Christ like opinion. Christ did not bother himself with secular issues. He was here primarily and only to reach the lost. He paid a tax so not to offend (the things that be of ceaser belong to ceaser, the things that be of God belong to God).

I respect everyone for having a secular opinion...or rather I respect your right to have an opinion, though I might say you are wrong, BUT we need to separate the mind of CHRIST and the goal of the church from secular politics and sociology.

As a Christian my primary concern is their lost souls no matter HOW they got here and no matter what land they are originally from. In fact having them come here makes it that much easier to reach them than relying on missionaries in poor foreign countries....imagine...we can reach out to them in more ways now...kinda like TV...and some are wanting to shut that down and say let them come to God in their own nation?

What a great opportunity and mission field we have right here and some would rather turn them in and tell them to get lost????

lol...at least as far as we know. But yes I am sure most of them that built the roads at least here in California work for Cal Trans....

I wonder how many people realize a lot of "Mexicans" are technically "white"....the Spaniards, not the Indians. I also find it ironic to hear the "this land belonged to us before it did to you" from someone that looks like his family never intermarried with the indian population of Mexico...this land belonged to the Indians...many different tribes too, not just those in Mexico. Anyways, there is a lot of emotional arguments from both sides. I think it's just part of the plan. Same thing happened to Rome...one of Romes downfall was outside invaders, immigration...being a "nation" of so many different languages, nations and cultures.

I can side with the english speaking part because in the end I see that this will just divide our nation even more. Many of the illegals and legals are now NOT integrating anymore. The US is no longer the melting pot. We are a nation divided and conquored and most people don't even realize that is the case. We WILL eventually be just another unsovergn nation not just in the UN but as part of the North American Union.

It's a done deal and to blame is not the illegals that come here but powers in high places.

I used to agree with CC1 on this one - now I don't know what I think.

I KNOW some as brothers and I know there hearts.

The problem is not theirs primarily - it is primarily the fault of our government.

I am in favor of legalizing ALL (exept those with known criminal activity) illegals. Then stopping illegal immigration cold. I have no doubt at all that we could do it.

with the knowledge of the government? Who employs them? Are they paid less than American citizens? Because I can tell you here they are not illegals and there are many that would want that job....so it's not another case of they are just doing the jobs nobody else wants....unless the wage was driven so low that Americans won't want it....
