I believe in modesty, I believe in equality also.

A women should not have to wear certain clothes so a man can keep his mind out of the gutter. I've counseled with men who are perverted and can tell you its a condition of the heart. You think men in muslim countries don't lust over those women who have only those eyes popping out??? eerie isn't it. almost spooky.

The more that is covered the more the imagination runs wild. I've seen a lot of women that need to put more clothes on.

Its not a young girls fault she's endowed more than someone else. And she shouldn't have to tape her bust with duct tape so she can sing in the choir.

The mans mind belongs to him and he is responsible for it. A womens body belongs to her and if she's married her husband also and she is responsible to her husband and God.

Stop looking and start worshipping. Most of the kids we deal with don't even have the money to but a new pair of shoes, much less a $250.00 dress from Macy's.

The church has turned into a competitive enviornement; who can look the best and dress the nicest. Its time to give your clothes to the poor.
it is sad to me that this is what you think modesty is about. keeping some perv from lusting after you.

sorry bud, that isnt it at all. and that line about $250 is a boondoggle! A kid can go to old navy and dress modest. but beyond that, nobody expects newbies to walk in and line up in five minutes. you are just barking to hear yourself make noise.

This is a good "argument" for demanding all Chrictian men grow beards, as the practice of shaving was promoted largly, at one time by homo sexual's who desired that the young men they enjoyed favors from to look more youthful.
They liked them young.

For this cause we should obey the word and all should quit cutting the corners of the beard and grow some hair.

TIC Prax....kinda

It is interesting that the Apostolic church's mode of dress is mostly thought and produced by the Homosexual community...

Yeah..even some of Epley's long sleeved white shirts have been influenced by a designer somewhere, that was bit light in his loafers.

Why is it when folks read DEUT.22 they focus on verse 5 and ignore the rest of the chapter ?
Certainly one should be holy inwardly as well as outwardly ,but most folks ignore the rest of the chapter, when we are supposed to rightly divide the word of truth.

We are instructed in the Nt to ignore the whole chapter Scotty.we are not commande dto live after the law.

Paul said if we attempt to and do not obey all 613 rules of the Torah (of which vs 5 of Duet 22 is apart of) then we make ourselves guilty of all.

But somebody got an idea back int e40's that they didn't like women wearing dungarees to weld on the war ships and thought this verse of scripture gave them support. They were wrong then and they are even more wrong today to use Duet 22:5 to impose this man made cotrine on women.

6If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young: 7But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

8When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence. 9Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled. 10Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together. 11Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together. 12Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.

according to this its illegal to take the dam birds...
when you build a house, make sure it has a place on top so you wont fall off.
cant sow more than one crop.
cant plow with an ass or an ox together.
no mixing of wool or linen, and polyester is illegal too! are you itching?
make sure you put lace around the edges...

The fringes....you want them Scott..sew some on your prayer shawl. They are called Tiztit (sp) by the Jews.

The women with the issue of blood who touched the "hem" of huis garment...those were the "fringes" spoken of in Deut 22.

BUT we are not going to make the men wear something that make us totally stand out like sore thumbs from our peers...NO NO NO...we only make our women do that!!

and we chide our Muslim brothers for forcing their women to wear the burqua or chador
