I know all the ins and outs. No rush here. As for ignorance, well the each hold a licence and Matty has 2 1 as a gen. contractor and he was license and bonded for his lawn business. They have to take a test that deals with this type of situation. This is a little different than having a kid take out trash on a weekend. I have to whole BOLI file. They can lie and cheat but God knows all.

I don't know who you are nor the pastor, but I pray for you. With bitterness the only person who loses is you. I trust that you are telling truth, but even in the wrongs done a person must be able to forgive. I believe if this pastor is unrepentant about these wrongs he will be rewarded for them, but wouldn't it be better for you to walk away and let go of bitterness. I promise you God is a just judge and you can trust him with this whole scenario. Start over and do a work for God. You don't have to forget this injustice and you can know what kind of man would do such things, but as hard as it is you must forgive so you yourself can be free. bitterness is a prison. There is an adversary at work so think it not strange concerning the fiery trials which are to try you.

You belabored the type of work the kids had to do. I've been to third world countries and guarantee those kid were not doing "slave labor". You said you know what went on. What then did Bill say over the pulpit that was defamatory. You must have been there. What did he say? If it's public record then it's out there. If you don't know what was said then it is hearsay and you're bringing a dog to this fight because of secondary grievances that you need to personally get over.
I'll tell you this: if I had someone in my church that was suing me I would suggest to you (and them) that they would be happier worshipping elsewhere.. If Goings stayed it was to stir up trouble or to P.O. the pastor.
Dave & Martha Bragg were in Newberg a few years ago. If you are interested in a nearby church there's a very healthy one in Tigard - non-UPC pastored by one of Gordon Mallory's sons. I'll leave you with this: if you leave angry you will land in someone else's church the same way. Sometimes it's not easy to not have malice in your heart for wrongs (or perceived wrongs) but you have to let the peace of God guard your heart.

And this is not a third world country Sabby. I know all the depression era people think the way you do; but we are now a country with rules that must be followed. The pastor in this case willfully broke those rules and when He got found out kicked Jim out as retaliation IMHO. Time lines will show that. Now I know that is what Christ would have done. After all isn't Bill Gods vicar?
Preachers will defend preachers. It must be part of the code. Rule 666 of the Pentecostal bylaws created by legalistic men.
