Sorry, Mrs,

I was agreeing with you with a silly comment and didn't complete my thought..., "an' you gotta problem wit dat?"

I agree with you completely. At times I've considered not calling myself apostolic because of the non-Christian attitudes displayed in the movement.

I just want to say- AFF has been a great source of entertainment and also a wealth thought provoking information. I do not participate in the discussions much, because I am not at the computer during the day, by the time I get around to reading it the discussion is usually over. This forum has been a place I could take each one of my beliefs or doctrines that I have been taught- examine them - from all sides- then go back to the scripture and test them. I have done this prayerfully - and I think I am closer to being an apostolic than when I started. I have enjoyed the free exchange of ideas, the friendship that have been forged and support when there was one of us in need. Thanks AFF!

Re: Apostolic News: AFF has been HIJACKED

O.K. - my turn to "weigh in" on this thread. I came to this forum in 2009 (if I remember correctly), and of course we all have our agreements, opinions, and of course, disagreements. Overall, I must say that I am very impressed with the amount of studious individuals on this forum; folks who really study and are not afraid to question their beliefs in the pursuit of truth.

There are some folks here that I could not hold a candle to, and are far more versed in the Word then myself, so I find it to be a rich resource of dialog, study, question, and yes, opinion.

Now, I will say, in light of some rescent threads, it seems to me that there are many young to middle aged ministers leaving out the back door - at least in my neck of the woods (that is to say in the UPCI circles that are closest to me), and it seems this trend continues throughout the country. sure there are reasons that are as many as the ocean is wide, but I do believe that with the amount of information at people's fingertips, many are refusing to adopt or conform simply because "I say so", but are putting up a fight so to speak concerning doctrines and practices that they feel are preference and not Biblical.

It no longer seems feasible that pulpit pounding is getting many younger folks to "line up", and they are looking for real fellowship with real relationships with people and with a God that loves them and does not scare them to death.

I noticed recently just in the state next to me two very prominent younger ministers with large church's "pull out", and all I could say was WOW! If there was ever a time that we need each other it is now, and if there was ever a time to get our noses in the Word it is now. In the grand scheme of things, it is Jesus that really matters, not who endorses your fellowship card - He should be our standard and banner....

When a organization refuses to make adjustments to stay current with newly discovered truth. It causes doubt and defections among the followers. There is a great need to pull out the manual and reevaluate where we are, where we are going, and for heavens sake- what we believe!

I found out also that an “apostolic forum” website cuts and pastes alot of false information about people and twiggeds it electronically so that is appears true, they are a bunch of backsliders and weak Christians that go on that cite. Do not mingle with those backsliders, I WARN ANYONE TO STAY AWAY…..They are people who are out to fabricate lies against people, pastors, ministers, saints, my Pastor informed me stay away from that filth……."

The problem is that people are more in love with the organization rather than the facts.

I know a few of these people (they are friends of mine).

You could scream until you're blue in the face that Brother so-and-so is in error, or the org is not as solid and fault-proof as they put on, and no one will believe you. "How dare you call my baby ugly!"

The only thing you can do, and I have done the same on various issues, is present only the facts, with sources! Cut out the opinions, cut out the personal attacks and speak only of the issue at hand.

If they choose not to look (I have personally witnessed this), or choose to ignore the facts you've laid out (I've witnessed this too), it really shows you the type of person they are... they don't want truth, they are happy with their tradition.

So, the challenge is:

1. Present the facts in an easy to read fashion
2. Provide sources (which can be validated)

Nah. It's more important to continue the "Urshan-Westberg" agenda of massaging the group-think along the paths desired by the radicals. The "Urshanites" do this to maintain their positions of power. The "Westbergers" do this because they "can't feel God" unless they're belly-aching about your grandmother's knickers.

And, this agenda must continue to be done in such a way so that no questions are raised at Conference and the sheeple are not alarmed. Thus, lying and gerrymandered "statistics" will continue to stream forth from the Church Division.

"Every movement needs to have a bowel movement!" Leonard Westberg

If you have left the UPCI - then you know exactly what the Org. thinks of you. If you are still in the UPCI (or WPF, etc) and have any problems with that angry grimace that you see on so many faces - then you know just what your "brethren" are thinking.

You're probably just something they're trying to "pass."
