I would suggest that the word used in Acts 2:38 and most other places (except for Romans 3:25) should never be translated "remission" and that the word used in Romans 3:25 is correctly translated "remission."

Other translations properly use the word forgiveness ... it's amazing how an entire movement has strayed from truth based on a misinterpretation of scriptural translation.

Do you have a scripture that states sins are remitted when one receives the Holy Ghost? or when one believes in the gospel?

If you believe as Daniel does, that faith alone in Christ alone saves you, then you must also believe that you receive the Spirit of Christ and remission of sins upon faith and that Acts 2:38 is extra stuff we do after we are saved. Is that what you believe?

I'm not DA but viewing Truth is not actually the Truth...

I'm one who tends to agree with you, Danny.

The problem is, according to Acts 2:38, you still must "repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ" for the forgiveness of sins.

What say ye?
