If that is the case.... Then this post surprises me.
I don't know the full story, but my point is that travelling with large amounts of money stashed away, then being vague or unforthcoming about it does fit a specific profile. To the issue of profiling, my point is that I have been affected by it, but am still not completely opposed to it. However, if you are a proponent of profiling at all, it is disengenuous to oppose it when the potential arises that you may fit a profile.

Coadie...you've got to come down to reality kiddo.
God says it is against the law if you are tried or found guilty or not.
These are secret sins. You are trying to cover and justify yourself.
I fly a lot. We are seeing a rush of immature helpers that are trying to get into airport security and other jobs where you don't have to work.
we see "door jerkers" at grocery stores and gas stations. it really pumps them up to have an old recycled police car with a spot light and a flashing light bar on top.

Actually this was cash enclosed. It is tough to answer questions about it because they can think you are lying and use that as an excuse to confiscate it.

My question again - What answer could he possibly have given that would have incriminated him? He said he was afraid of that, so what would have incriminated him? I don't get that part.
I'll check back later.
PO, I would likely acted exactly like he did, only I would likely have been a bit more forcefull.
bottom line is, HE was not the problem. THEY were.

As I have previously stated in a recent post...
He knew his rights.
He knew that what was happening was an infringement of those rights.
He asked if he was legally required to answer the question.
They could not answer in the affirmative.
He knew he was being detained against his legal rights and they were operating in an area outside of their granted power and authority.
In short... he called their bluff.
They were exceeding their power, he knew it, he called it and he walked away free for one reason.
He was right.
They were wrong.
We need people like this who are educated about their rights and how to stand for them while keeping the proper respectful stance so as to be above reproach and yet stand for right.

That is the point. We can hear their threats.
